The natural evolution of multi-pitch climbing is trad climbing – in other words, a return to the very origins of climbing itself! Climbing walls along their weak points, the cracks, without the systematic aid of fixed protection, but rather by placing mobile protection within the cracks themselves to secure one’s progress, just as the pioneers of mountaineering and climbing had to do when faced with a virgin wall and without, as is often the case today, a drill and bolts! Many consider this to be the most ethical, ecological and pure style, not for nothing called ‘clean climbing’ in English-speaking countries.
It is certainly a style of climbing that offers a high degree of adventure and requires considerable experience to be practised safely.
With us, you will learn the specific techniques of crack climbing, which are often very different from those used on classic crags, but above all the placement of quick protection—nuts and friends—as well as the standard techniques for progressing on multi-pitch routes.
