Day 1
For Castor via the Normal Route, the meeting point is usually Staffal, unless otherwise agreed between the guide and the participants, and the overnight stay will be at Quintino Sella hut.
For Pollux and for the North-West Face of Castor, the meeting point is usually at the ticket office of the Cervinia lifts in Breuil Cervinia or at Frachey, unless otherwise agreed between the guide and the participants, and the overnight stay will be at the Guide della Val d'Ayas hut.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Breakfast and departure around 4:00 a.m.
Ascent to the summit and return to the hut.
Lunch and descent to the valley.
Castor (4,228 m) and Pollux (4,091 m): the two twins of Monte Rosa, magnificent peaks offering exciting routes and an excellent introduction to more demanding mountaineering ascents.
They can be climbed individually, or linked together in a more challenging traverse.
