Monte Rosa – 4000ers in a day

The Monte Rosa is the only mountain massif in the Aosta Valley where it is possible to climb 4000-meter peaks in a single day, without having to cover large elevation gains.
Thanks to the presence of cable cars and the relative ease of some routes, you will be able to enjoy an exciting experience in the “thin air”, surrounded by majestic glaciers among the largest in the Alps.
The ascent is proposed to one of the following summits: Breithorn (4,165 m), Punta Giordani (4,046 m), Piramide Vincent (4,215 m).
This can be a great option if you have limited time or if you decided at the last minute and there is no more space available in the mountain huts.

  Punta Giordani - Piramide Vincent
  The meeting point is usually at the Monte Rosa cable car ticket office in Staffal, at 7:00 a.m., unless otherwise agreed between the guide and the participants.
  The guide will check the equipment, after which we will take the cable cars up to Punta Indren.
  From here the climb will begin, which will take place largely on the glacier.
  The return is scheduled for early afternoon.
  
  Western Breithorn
  The meeting point is usually at the Cervino cable car ticket office in Breuil-Cervinia, at 7:00 a.m., unless otherwise agreed between the guide and the participants.
  The guide will check the equipment, after which we will take the cable cars up to Plateau Rosa.
  From here the climb will begin and will take place on the glacier.
  The return is scheduled for early afternoon.

  - Mountaineering boots (waterproof, high-cut, crampon compatible)
  - Harness
  - Crampons
  - Classic ice axe
  - Trekking poles
  - Helmet (optional)
  - 35-liter backpack
  It is possible to rent specific equipment, subject to reservation and availability.

• Your clothing

  - thermal base layer, light fleece, heavy fleece, down jacket, windproof jacket
  - technical socks, thermal tights, windproof trousers
  - hat, light gloves, warm gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen
  - 1 L water bottle/thermos, energy bars
